Ruth Williams Pendleton 86 of 814 39th St, Ashland, Ky, died Wednesday, Aug 28, 2002, in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation.She was born Oct 6, 1915 in Win, Ky, a daughter of the late James and Alka Reed Williams.She was a former employee of the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, was a former owner of the Pendleton Grocery Store on 39th Street, and was a former employee of King's Daughters and Sons Home.She was a charter member of the Fish Trap United Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Old Oaks Spring United Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Pendleton in 1973; a daughter, Norma Hall in 2000: and four brothers Kendrick Williams, James O Williams, Ashley Williams and Walter Williams.Surviving are one daughter, Carlene Jarvis and her husband, Larry, of Ashland; two sisters, Imogene Brown of Ashland and Langley Williams of Oil Springs, Ky; three grandchildren, Tonya Hall, Bobby Blevins, and his wife, Mary, and Cassie Hutchinson; and two greatgrandchildren, Robert Tyler Blevins and Alana Jan Mooney.Funeral services will be at 10:30am Saturday at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Frankie Williams and Danny Williams. Burial will be in Williams Family Cemetery.Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Friday at the funeral home and from 1 to 1:30pm Saturday at the Oil Springs United Baptist Church.Ashland Daily Independent29 August 2002
