In
the beginning of year
At Ljungbyhed | ||
In front of the J 28, Vampyre, I don´t fly this type of plane, I start with the propeller-driven aircraft SK50 (Saab Safir). My
group was the first who should fly Viggen and driving practice at the
jetfighter SK

In early 1966 At home at Domargränd 16 in Västertorp on a permisson from F5 in Ljungbyhed
| |
|
Here at Ljungbyhed we had "single rooms" which difference to when you made the lump on F21 in Luleå, then we lay 8 men on the door, which we called it |
After Ljungbyhed I took a pilot licence, I must show for myself I can fly, even if I noy fly the military aircraft in Swedish Airforce, and I'm glad for that (!) | |
I
wasn't satisfied with the certicate only at PA 28, Cherokeen, I found
a very nice aircraft called Beagle
Pup 121 a nice machine with "lever" instead for a stearing
wheel as it was at the Cherokee but Beagle pup disipear and I have to
fly the Cherokee
at Flygsam's air school.
|
|
The
Cherokee was
fun, well little bad visibility, because the wings was under the cocpit
but I could fly upside down so......
When I take off I hit the passengers seat with my hands and said for my self "Tommy you can fly alone now!!!" I fly out over Norrtälje town and out over Östersjön (The Baltic Sea) what a feeling, I never forget that trip. It was like yesterday! |
|
When
I receive my pilot licence I give SR flying club a call and want to be member
immediately, Olle Höglund was the cashier and even A-Sound tecnique
at Swedish Television but at that time the name was SR (Swedish Radio.)
I remember I have to pay 30 Swedish Crowns/year, around $2.50, well it was nearly what I receive from Swedish Television for a day wage (!) |
